NarcoticBlue
ok guys im nearly going to install mac osx with JaS 10.4.6 image. i decided to physically unplug my sata hard drive before i install mac osx because im worried about the data on it. And i am very worried in regards to setting up a hard drive partitiion for the osx installation. here is a picture of my drive management window. I intend to install mac osx onto "Local disk (D:)" but first i want to resize that so i make two partitiions out of that one partitiion containing the os itself and the other is going to be fat32 and used to transfer files in between mac osx and windows. this should be no biggy for me im pretty confident using partition magic. but the part that frightens me is when i have to go into command and prompt and do the disk part thing. i know i have to enter "0" when it asks for the disk but im not sure what number to put in when it asks for the partition. keep in mind that im going to resize local disk (d:). i think this is it please correct me if im wrong. disk 1 > Partition 1 = Recovery Partition (hidden) Partition 2 = Windows Partition Partition 3 = Mac OSX Partition Partition 4 = FAT32 storage also what does that "DiskPart" thing actually do? does it format my drive so it can be reconized while installing mac osx? and also when i finally get up to installing x86 would my windows partition show up when i get asked which disk mac osx will go onto? im sorry i asked alot but this is very new to me.
