DrX_UaCaRi Posted October 28, 2005 Share Posted October 28, 2005 Hi everyone and greeting for the one who did it... 1) my config ASUS M6B00N Intel Pentium M 1,7Ghz memory DDR1024 ram (2ns) two HTS548080M9AT00 har drive (80 gig) BIOS : AMI 0211 Sound : SigmaTel Audio Video : ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600/9700 Series (Omega 2.6.53) Broadcom NetXtreme gigabit ethernet Intel Pro 2000B/G wifi AC97 soft V92 Data Fax Modem 15"4 lcd screen with 1280X800 resolution Mistumi Bluetooh usb doongle PCMCIA BROADCOM WPCB-115G wifi card a usb hard dirve (80 gig) 2) The version of Mac OsX i have An original G5 tiger cd (i'm sur that one won't help) tiger-x86.tar.bz2 (1 383 030 913 octets) tiger-x86-xiso.iso (1 002 928 128 octets) Generic-Tiger.iso (4 293 001 216 octets) -- version doesn't match with Md5) 3) I've several live cd (linux) WHAT i want to do Since i have two HD on my laptop i want to install OsX in one of them ( the removable who share it bay with the dvd burner) I ve removed the unamovible drive of it bay since i need to use my dvd drive to install (but i'm may be wrong) I put all the images (iso) in the usb drive and burn the the generic install. It boot but the it tell me some error (some thing cannot be write) ask to F8 for more startup option and then loop with the error i 'm going to write it to remenber what it tells me. In the past i've install darwin in my machine the install works we only told me some acpi error but it run fine. My question is simple wich method i use to install on my machine? with wich distrib? macgirl Posted October 28, 2005 Share Posted October 28, 2005 It appears that you have either bad patched DVD or not the release 1. You may try the dd method with tiger-x86.tar.bz2 (unpack first).
