yelow
I'm one of the unfortunate ones that have an 'Unsupported' optical media burner. Is there any way for me to still use it? I tried using Toast 8Ti, but it won't launch, even using Rosetta. Should I exert any further effort acquiring other copies of media burning software, or will this not work and that's just that? Alternatley, I can throw in a Combo drive from a G4, will that work? (Albeit, it's no DVD-writer.) Thanks in advance, -Tim These are the results: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H542A: Firmware Revision: TS01 Interconnect: ATAPI Burn Support: Yes (Unsupported) Profile Path: None Cache: 2048 KB Reads DVD: Yes CD-Write: -R, -RW DVD-Write: -R, -RW, +R, +RW Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes Burn Underrun Protection DVD: Yes Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO Media: No Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38819-optical-media-burning-support/ Share on other sites
Pitr-
Just run patchburn. It will add support for your burner so as you can use it with any burner application of choice. http://www.patchburn.de/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38819-optical-media-burning-support/#findComment-276717 Share on other sites
