ulav
Hi I installed OSX on my PC. After using it for few minutes OSX always crashes, it shows that gray square window telling me to turn off the computer using the power button. My question is how do i find out the reason for the crash? Some kind of log file or anything. Thanks! -ulav Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38804-how-do-i-find-the-reason-for-a-osx-crash/ Share on other sites

Then look in "username"/Library/Logs/CrashReporter for crash log history. ulav
Thanks Sailfish, it stopped crashing, i think it was this {censored}y PS2 mouse i had plugged. After i got the USB working and connected a USB mouse the OSX is stable as a rock. A USB mouse with a USB to PS2 converter worked well so it must have been the PS2 mouse i used initially. Anyway, the last weirdness i am seeing with 10.4.8 on SEE2 is that CPU usage is 100% and 95% of that is kernel time. I had to disable hyperthreading or else OSX does not boot so that might be the reason or something else. I should maybe attach a kernel debugger and look into what is eating all that 3.0 GHz CPU. -ulav Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38804-how-do-i-find-the-reason-for-a-osx-crash/#findComment-278943 Share on other sites
