Rock$tar
I installed JaS 10.4.6 and it worked perfect so i ran the 10.4.7 update, once again keeps working perfectly everything on my hackintosh installed and worked flawlessly (i was rahter impressed too since last time i tryed i couldnt get to the installer, let alone install it!) My question tho, is if i run apples autoupdate and install the 10.4.8 update will my computer bug out? i dont want to do it because its working perfectly fine now and hasnt had one problem with any apps i threw at it so far. But if it will work it would be nice to see it using latest OSX like my iMac and iBook. I think im still on the old kernal too? (10.4.4) since i used the JaS DVD with the JaS update? kevinosx
I'm running apples combo update right now, works great. do some searching on what you just wrote because there is a thread that discusses how to do what your talking about. In my case I followed the guide on this forum (you'll find it) and then I got the simthex "scriptv3.command" after I was done and did the kernel update AFTER I followed the installation guide replacing the kernel etc.. I went from 10.4.6 to 10.4.8 intel combo update. the most important thing is to not restart after installing the update and following the guide online to the "T", I'm not kidding when I say that, it took me several times to get it right! good luck! kevinosx
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=33342&hl= there you are and enjoy!! but like I said make sure you follow it to the T! after you are all done, have rebooted and everything then you need to run the Semthex script, it installs a new up to date kernel from his sight and fixes a lot of issues with sound stuttering etc. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=semthex+script Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38783-installing-the-offical-1048-update/#findComment-277113 Share on other sites

inzeo
so this process can only be done with SSE3 enabled machines? This does not apply to SSE2 machines, is this correct?
