debian on darwin/xnu ?

I posted this earlier in the *nix-forum, but I guess it would be more usefull here. Hence, 2nd try. :-)

 

 

The last couple of months, I have been playing around with all kind of distributions and *nix systems on my machine (one of them being openwarwin7.2.1) but also three different unix-systems based on debian using a non-linux kernel:

- debian GNU/kfreebsd (debian based on the freebsd kernel)

- debian GNU/hurd (debian based on the GNU hurd).

(see http://www.debian.org/ports/#nonlinux for these two).

 

- nexenta: debian GNU/opensolaris (see http://gnusolaris.org). This was sofar the best worked out non-linux debian OS.

 

So, I guess my question is pretty straighforward:

 

 

Does anybody know of any distribution which works on combining debian, the GNU-tools and darwin or opendarwin (or only the XNU-kernel?)

Opendarwin and gnu-darwin did go a good way into that direction, but that are distributions aimed at providing a darwin-like enviroment.

 

Anybody any idea of the feasability or dificulty of trying to create a debian-like or debian-based distribution ontop of darwin, opendarwin of xnu?
