razzle
Hi, I can't install mac on my machine. My motherboard is in the list of compatible hardware though. Tech specs: Processor: AMD semphron 2600+; Motherboard: via vt8237; Harddrive: Serial ATA; Actually I had the same problem while installing windows XP, but we solved that problem byinstalling Drivers for our hard drive, because windows installer has option to install some drivers before running the actual setup. P.S. Sorry for my English. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38725-sata-hard-drive-is-not-recognized-by-the-installer/ Share on other sites
Sailfish
We need Specifics. Will the DVD boot? Do you get to the point where it specifies a Drive and there is no drive? By knowing nothing I would say that you need to get into your Bios, make sure it is the most current version. Check/change your SATA/RAID/IDE settings. You might want to use IDE drive to save some time and trouble.
