Well I am really new to this game and I have been a Mac wannabe for many years, but the PC side has offered me many things not to switch. :hysterical: After many installs and getting blank screens on my T60p, I have finally gotten OS X running on my T60p and I am quite impressed by it and certainly the performance. But I have some issues of some features not functioning. First of all I will start out with my specs:

Model: Thinkpad T60p 2007-93U

Intel Core Duo T2600(2.16GHz)

2GB RAM

100GB 7200rpm HD

15in 1600x1200 LCD Flexview

ATI FireGL V5200

CDRW/DVDRW

Intel 802.11abg wireless - being replaced with IBM ABG mini-PCIe card

Bluetooth/Modem

Intel 1Gb Ethernet

UltraNav

Secure chip

Fingerprint reader

Since my main world is using Windows XP, I have dual booted both Mac OS and XP on the same disk with a transfer FAT32 partition for the 2 OSes to share. I am not using bootcamp and instead using Acronis OS selector to switch between the two OSes. What I have gotten to work and thanks for this great forum of information posted on this site. I can guarantee that I would not have been able to get this far by any means. :)

-full QE/CI support for the V5200

-enabled QE2D and disabled Beamsync

-USB seems to work as my USB mouse works

-power management seems to work also, but I haven't tried suspending it yet.

-ethernet works without a problem.

-sound works to a degree as there is no full HD support for the sound chip yet.

what doesn't work:

no modem

no PCMCIA/Cardbus

no wireless - swapping out card

no bluetooth

What I really need is the PCMCIA/Cardbus slots to work because I need my firewire card operational for my external HDs. I could use USB, but I like daisy chaining than doing the hub and spoke with the drives. No I remember in order for me to boot OS X I had to delete the PCMCIA drivers, well since that function has been removed is there an alternative to getting that functionality back. Please remember I am not a techie by any standard so any "remedial" help is appreciated.

Thanks

I think I am... i've already downloaded 2 different DVDs for 10.4.8. Both of them had one option for Intel sse2/sse3 and another one for AMD. Obviously I selected the Intel one.

Besides that, is there any other thing that could be causing the Kernel Panic??

Thanks again!

For you PCMCIA/Cardbus/bluetooth problem. Maybe your powermanagement too :(
