Fravin Posted January 14, 2007 Share Posted January 14, 2007 I had installed the OSx 10.4.6 in my new Mac I've benn using Macs since 95 but when time comes to change the G4, I decided not to by a Mac Intel from Apple. In the job I work in a 20" iMac, a gnuine Core Duo 2.0Ghz. And I am very diappointed. Everything runs well, just suposed to be. But everything runs slow.... My last Mac, a 1.33Ghz G4 Mini, ran the CS2 suite must faster than the 2.0Ghz Core Duo. The universal applications runs well, fast, but..... I've decide to buy the componnents in a PC store. I've read the posts and the Wiki. The machine is this: Pentium D 3.0Ghz Intel 945GTtp 1 G RAM DDR2 533 HD Seagate 160Gb Sata DVDrw Samsung I've first installed the 10.4.3 and then installed the 10.4.6 and the machine is GREAT! The system is very fast (faster than the 2.0Ghz Core Duo iMac) and the CS2 suite is much faster than Imac!!!!!!!!!! I dont know what is happening, but my computer is much faster than the iMac! And it costs less!!!! The Audio, Video, LAN, USB, Sata.... Everithing is running! New Mac, here I go!!!
