hi, i've copied the deadmoo image on a usb harddrive... i've followed the guide step by step, but it doesn't work...when the system starts appears:"hfs+ partition error". i've done the primary partiotion and I copy it... when the copy has finished appears a different number than the one on the guides. i don't know if it's the problema... i've also put in my windows drive the chain file... what's wrong? thanks

2 hd. 1 internal 40Gb and 1 external 10Gb usb... maybe i can't install on usb device with dd...

I tried one time to dd the deadmoo image on a USB HD, it don't boot. I used a nc6000 witch can boot from USB, I tested it before with (mame on a USB Stick):

http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/cd-readme.html

I put the same HD directly in my notebook and it works. So try to change the HD's (USB <---> internal) and maybe it works.

I believe that DrJägermeister has reason, is better than you don't install osx86 on that usb drive, i've been reading many documents about of troubles with osx86 when this isn't installed with the right HD (IDE cable type, jumper setting, etc.). Good luck !!.
