frinchkin
i ran the script to update my 4.8 kernel and it appears that it deleted my old kernel and didn't install a new one. the kernel folder has an empty zip file in it (i'm looking at my osx harddrive using macdrive). when i try to boot osx it gets to the first screen and then nothing happens. isn't there supposed to be a backup of my old kernel somewhere?and if so can i just move it to the root-using macdrive-and will that solve it? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38359-help-farfed-up-1048-whn-tried-to-update-kernel/ Share on other sites
Mr Malicious
download a kernel from the #kernel channel on irc.macspeak.net,drop that kernel in your os x partition using macdrive then reboot back into os x.
