gXpratama
Hardware: Intel Core Duo 1.66 GHz, GMA950, ALC883(ICH7). I've just installed the latest JaS release, patched with the latest ppf from the demon too. Installation went smooth, but in the end I noticed the laptop become soo sloow (esp. the mouse movements). Profiler reported that QE/CI is supported, mirror off (what is mirror?). Well actually the visual effect is running well (as seen in the water effect when adding widget), just several seconds after logging in my mouse become so slow and jumpy. After installation, i didn't get any sound working. I patched using ALC883Audio.mpkg, only 3 port/digital & 6 port works, very choppy that is. Strange thing is, the sound become less choppy if my laptop process something related to graphic, for example changing wallpaper or scroll a webpage. Some people in the forum suggested to upgrade to the latest kernel. I used the Prasys & hippiex script to no avail. I issued "uname -a" in terminal: "Darwin gxpratama.local 8.8.1 Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.1: Sat Dec 9 22:18:27 AZOT 2006; semthex:/nebukadnezar/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386 i386" Is that the latest kernel or am I missing something here? Any help will be appreciated. Thx in advance.
