malibusurf Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 Hey everybody, ive just finished installing osx on my main desktop and have run into a strange problem. ive searched the forum but havent really found anything on this issue. The issue is that when i begin to install an app the system just hangs. The mouse still moves, but the keyboard and the GUI are unresponsive leaving me with the only option of switching off at the mains and rebooting. The install of the OS goes fine and is uneventful. the system boots up as normal and everything looks good (nice and fast, responsive etc) but the system just locks whenever i try to install. ive tried installing iTunes and the Logitech control center software and have had the same result with both and am totally clueless as to what it could be causing the problem. im using the tubgirl AMD SSE3 release with PPF2 applied and installing on an IDE hard disk on this system: Athlon64 3000+, DFI SLI-DR (nforce4) 7800GTX, 2GB ram. second hdd conected via sata.
