Froster_2006
I download the new 10.4.8 JAS (Semthex's 8.8.1)DVD image and patch the ppf. In my HD I already have a OS X partition that I used for OS X 10.4.6 for months. This time I use the disk utility in 10.4.6 DVD to erase the partition as someone found the one in 10.4.8 DVD is buggy. Then I restart and use the new image to install. The installation went well, but after reboot I got: "Missing operating system" message I erase and install again and I still got this message. Please, help me. Thank you~ P.S. the OS X partition is between the primary partition(Fat 32) and the extend partition. The type of the OS X partition is also set to primary. The dual-boot for 10.4.6 was fine. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38217-1048-booting-problem/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
What kind of bootloader are you using? Windows/chain0 or OSX/Darwin or Grub? Try setting the OSX partition active.
