voggorb
Hi, I have downloaded the latest jas 10.4.8 dvd from demonoid and patched it with the ppf also found on demonoid. I then burned the patched iso image using disk utility (i'm on osx 10.4.8 intel only/8.4.1 kernel), but the dvd doesn't seem bootable... When pressing f8 at startup the only startup option is my osx partition, nothing else, no dvd.. can anyone explain this please? voggorb
nope, but I just needed to change the boot order in BIOS, stupid me but after I had installed osx checking the boxes next to the intel "thing" and the titan "thing", I got a completely blue screen after the grey apple logo had been spinning a couple of seconds. And then the error message telling me to restart my computer came up. So I reinstalled osx again, this time NOT checking the titan nvidia thing, and now it works..! But the graphics is terrible, no QE/CI and only 1024x768 resolution. And something weird is that the finder relaunches and all programs quit when pressing "about this mac"... What do I need to do in order to get my 6600gt card working properly? Is the macvidia needed, or is the Titan (whatever that is?) supposed to do the trick for me? Try installing Natit.. you can find it under Useful files in the genius bar Natit universal installer is a rather easy auto-installer And something weird is that the finder relaunches and all programs quit when pressing "about this mac"... Search for colonel system profiler patch (auto-install)or replace your Appleloginwindow.app with an older one (10.4.5 ex.) They're all in this list: Useful files Edited January 10, 2007 by e-rick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38075-new-jas-dvd-not-bootable/#findComment-272658 Share on other sites
