dell something or other p4 sse2, intel onboard 8225x network, ac97 audio onboard. 6600gt agp

on 10.4.6 sound and network work by default, nvidia is the only think i cant get working, the rest of the system works perfectly.

even have natit finding my card, but still cant change resoultions or play movies can anyone help CI/QE still not supported

 

is it even possible to get working with my setup or do i need to update somthing before it can even be enabled??

 

I'm running 10.4.6 - 8.4.1 kernel flawlessly, sans good video

ok i think i have nvidia drivers running in 10.4.6

Can you enable Core Image and Quartz Extreme on 10.4.6?

if so can you link me the post for it?

Man, you have been posting to yourself for the last 5 hours :idea:

 

You will NOT get any nVidia support with 10.4.6/8.4.1, you HAVE TO use new 10.4.8 new kernel and Titan. You HAVE TO put your dev ids in the GeForce.kext, NVDAResman.kext and NVDANV40Hal.kext. You will probably not be able to get agp so you will be a little slower but you will be better off with QE/CI :whistle:

up and running on 10.4.8 with network, copied the IONet from 10.4.6 and added the id to the 8225

theres a ton of info in here its just not very organized :)

movies work great itunes crashes on me so im just using vlc for audio too

only 2 things are getting on my nerves.

1. macos has no idea what the home and end keys are :huh:

2. my logitech mx610 cant use its thumb buttons, lcc 221 does nothing 220 removes the click functions but not the movement lol

other than that im going to try to use this as my main box for a few days and see how it does
