Guest bikedude880
Sadly you can't do what you are suggesting. You NEED to have either SSE2 or SSE3 for this to run. There are no other version of OS X besides 10.4 that have been released for x86. @nd®£§§!!
but it´s no posible to modify the 10.4 darwin kernel or replace for other one version like 10.2 and make it work ??? i´ve been reading another forum and they say that maybe that´s posible but must work hard. HOPE IT MAKE REAL!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37984-help-runing-mac-without-sse23/#findComment-270798 Share on other sites
kuja
It's not impossible, but the kernel for 10.2 must be recompiled for the x86 architecture, and that would be a big pain in the ass (not to mention you'd need to have drivers compatible with your hardware). Secondly, no one is going to go through all that trouble when there's already a working OS X for the x86 arch, and that's 10.4.x Chip in some money for a new computer, very cheap one, and just install 10.4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37984-help-runing-mac-without-sse23/#findComment-270860 Share on other sites
@nd®£§§!!
hi!, look i find a mac-place where you can download the darwin 6.0 Binary (for PPC and X86) i don´t know so much about this but if i could download it can be integer to the OSX86 10.4.X .iso image to run OSX 10.4.X with darwin 6.0 kernel??? (i think darwin 6.0 doesn´t use SSE2/3) if anyone know´s how and can tell me if it´s posible or not i´ll be very gratefull I HOPE IT CAN BE REAL!!
