boon4376
type: sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst into the console, this will bring up a file that controls the grub menu. At the bottom you will se a bunch of sections (about 5 lines a piece, last line of each section ends with "boot" on its own line)... i cant remember what they are called, but one is for windows, there are a couple defaults for ubuntu... Anyways, copy the windows one and paste it underneath it, and change the name to something like "Mac Boot" in place of something along the lines of "Windows boot (loader).." And make sure you change the hard drive and the partition at the bottom of the section you created to the hard drive and partition where your mac installation is located. Someone feel free to elaborate on this for more detail if you know how. GaaraX
Yeah you can, i just finished doing this : XP + Vista + Ubuntu 6.10 + MAC OS X 10.4.6. Just something, installing Mac OS X after ubuntu have ended with a Error 17 Grub Message. Maybe i did a small mistake in activating correct partition but ... anyway now i fixed evvery thing. btw : I still feel Vista design better than beryl... better than MAC OS X even if beryl 3D effect are absolutely amazing still Vista so beautiful Anyway rest in peace Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37799-easy-dual-boot-trick-with-ubuntu-linux/#findComment-270457 Share on other sites
