Hey i followed the tutorial on setting up broadcom wireless cards. First off i have a bcm4318. In the tutorial the last part is to change the en0 to en1 and i did that and restarted 4 times. each time when i come back on and check the networkinterfaces.plist files the en1 is changed back to en0. i saved each time before the restart. Next when i go to network utility is have network interface en0 listed and the only option. It gives the hardware address and the ip which is 1.4.0.0 which is obvioulsy wrong. It says the link speed is 0mb and the linkstatus is inactive, the vendor is apple and the moddle is wireless network adapter (802.11g) which is correct cause the bcm4318 is 802.11g. when i go to airport setup assistant is says that my airport card is not installed properly and that i should make sure it is. When i go to network and go to assistant and then network setup assisant all the choices on the method i use to connect to the internet are available except the I use airport to connect to the internet wirelessly , that option is greyed out. I had wireless working in 10.4.6 but i upgraded to 10.4.8 and now its not working. I'm out of ideas if anyone has any suggestions please leave them here for me to check.
