ndeboar
Hey guys, Im another chum having problems installing OSX. Im using the jas 10.4.6 instaltion off DVD. Ive read of alot of people having this problem. Basicly, it loads to a blue screen with the cursor. I pluged the monitor into the VGA port (was in DVI before) and then it boots to the apple screen and does the same thing, gives me a movable cursor on the apple logo. Werid! The only patch I installed was the SSE2 one. Here's my specs: CPU: P4 SEE2 Motherboard: Asus p4c800 E deluxe Chipset: Intel Canterwood i875p Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5950 Ultra Any ideas? Ive tried pressing F8 on startup, but it never works. Thought it was my keyboard, so i plug in a USB mac keyboard and still nothing. Cheers, Nick D Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37513-freezing-on-blue-grey-screen-1046/ Share on other sites

BMC6053
Its probably your graphics card/kext issues. I get the same thing with JaS AMD/INTEL ISO 10.4.7 repacK if I install the X1600 ATI graphics driver. If I wasn't so tired I'd keep @ it- maybe tommorow or after a nap =0D Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37513-freezing-on-blue-grey-screen-1046/#findComment-285812 Share on other sites
