Rmix
I want to upgrade my laptop CPU (I know laptop CPU upgrades are hard to upgrade, but I can do it) to a SSE3 compatible CPU to run better Mac OSX. I have an Intel Celeron M 370 1.50GHz, Socket 479mPGA, 90nm, and my chipset is i855GM/GME, the only one CPU I found compatible with the socket was Intel Core Solo for Socket479, but not sure if it is compatible. So what CPU could I use? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37477-cpu-upgrade/ Share on other sites
asap18
your stuck with sse2 on that laptop. You need a 945 chipset to put in a core solo/duo. You might be able to put in a pentium m, but those are still sse2.
