Hi, just thought I would post my experience in getting release1 working on my compaq nx5000 laptop (centrino 1.4, 512mb ram).

First, to even get it to boot off the DVD (it was freezing on a line that said something about firewire), I had to disable my SD card slot in my bios. after that, it was all smooth sailing. Audio works off the bat fine, the built in wireless is an intel 2100 which doesnt work but the built in Ethernet works fine.

Now, whenever I enable my SD card slot in my bios, the bootup freezes at the line "Apple16x50UARTSync0: Detected 16550AF/C/CF FIFO= 16 MaxBaud=115200" about halfway back up the screen it has "FWOHCI Error trying to clear PHY ports."

I dont really use the sd card slot anyway so I don't care.

The only other problem I had is that osx was freezing when I plugged in my 40gb usb hard drive. If I left it plugged in and tried to boot, it froze the bootup. I just tried it again and it seems to work fine. the only thing I can think of that I did between not working and working was ato install the Maxuss Patch.
