I want to know if the iMacs can display High Defintion Video. If yes which models (e.g. 17" 20" or 24") and what formats(720i/p, 1080i/p)

Thanks just wondering as im gettin one this year and that the Apple Cinema Display 23" is HD Ready

Every monitor can display hd, but if you want full value of HD, you need: 720P = min 1280 x 720 res, 1080P = min 1920 x 1980 res. The nice about the imac (any other pc with build in monitor, laptops etc...) is that you dont need a HDCP capable monitor to display it full size...

ok so say in a few months i get the ability to download HD quality movies or buy a HD/DVD or Blu Ray drive, Providing the iMac can decode it, it will display the video as High Definition?
