Hi, I just needed a bit of friendly advice before I embark upon my OSX install. I have obtained 3 different ISOs of prepatched OSXs. I have the JaS 10.4.6 install DVD, the JaS 10.4.8 install DVD, and the Myz 10.4.6 Install DVD. I know i meet at the CPU requirements and stuff. But here's my important question

Whenever I open the ISOs with Daemon or PowerISO or Nero to view the contents, I always seem to get these 8 files named "Boot, Boot (security catalog), Boot0, Boot1H, Boot1U, BootHELP, CDBOOT, Chain0". These 8 files seem to usually total up to about 180 kbs. Whenever I select the ISO to burn though, it always shoows up as a 4.5 gigabyte file. How can such a file only contain only these files? Is this normal, or bad downloads? Any help that can be given would be much appreciated. Thanks for helping a noob like me.

I think what it is, is that the bigger files windows cannot see becasue of the file type. if you opened up that download on a mac you would see all the files inside which total to 4.5Gb. Im not 100% this is correct someone else could verify that for you, but thats my view of the small files big image.

:(

i didn't think of that. that seems to make sense. if i just click on the images and then burn then using Nero, do you think these files should carry over? just wondering. thanks for your advice so far, and for tolerating these noobish questions. cheers!
