phun8890
I was wondering while sitting here surfing the web for solution. Since I have a motherboard that support two PCI-E slots can run full x16, can't I install two different graphic cards. Just checking to see if it'll work because I ordered a new graphic card, 7600GT, to run Mac OS X and thinking I'll have Windows run on 7950 GT; not in SLI. PCI-E slot#1 will be 7600GT PCI-E slot#2 will be 7950GT Slot#1, I'll have it connect to my HDTV via VGA cable and slot#2, I'll connect it via DVi to HDMI cable. I will disable 7600GT in Windows and will boot PCI-E in the order above. So when computer boot up, it'll detect whatever graphic is in slot#1. Will Mac OS X run if it is running on 7600GT even though 7950GT is in the machine for use in Windows? Will have an answer before I give this a try. My 7600GT will arrive on Tuesday and my computer is darn heavy to carry back and forth. EDIT: Oops, sorry... just noticed this was posted in wrong section. I guess this should belong in "Hardware." If it is, please move it to "Hardware" for me, thanks.
