For people that who can boot MAX OS X86 in native mode, please download Test My Hardwareand check your ACPI Version. Because many people have a ACPI kernel panic and they can't boot in native mode. So I think is because the ACPI problem. If you guys can boot in to native mode please download this software (only 2-3mb won't take long) and check your ACPI Version. I apprecaite for your help, thank you! :P

Hello.

Here we go:

ACPI BIOS

Version: 1.00

Revision: 5.15

MP APIC: Yes

SCI ARP IRQ: 9

I just noticed something weird indeed:

my MOBO BIOS (MSI K9N Neo) says ACPI is 1.4

Darwin says is 1.1 and says "1.4 expected" on boot...it does boot though.

TestMyHardware says is 1.0

Who is telling the truth? no idea.

This is with OSX 10.4.7 and 10.4.8 over my AMD

I used the JaS image for AMD 10.4.7

The only way I can boot fine is by typing "-v" and "cpus=2" (its a dual core)

I currently have 10.4.8 installed and running natively...but I have some problems so I prefer to waut a little more...I have the infamous intermittent GUI freeze and also when I install MacVidia video drivers the system works fine for some time then it renders itself unbootable...not to mention there's no dual monitor support.

Happy new year!!!

Mat.
