Rammjet Posted December 30, 2006 Share Posted December 30, 2006 If you went to Disk Utility and erased the target partition, then there are no remnants. The errors you are seeing are typically a problem with the DVD. Be sure the hard drive and DVD drive are on the same cable and the hard drive is set to master and the DVD drive is set to slave using jumpers. You can rearrange this after installation. Verify the DVD is not dirty or scratched. Reburn it at the slowest speed possible. If available, use different brand media and/or different type media: dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw Verify that the DVD drive has the latest firmware. Clean the lense of the DVD drive.
