Hello,

I'm not sure of the right terminology to search for this. I have a silver/white G4 running 10.2.8. To access some tools at work, I have to run an ifconfig command and a route add command. This works fine, until I restart of course.

Is there a way to add these commands to a file so that it will be run automatically when the machine starts?

I tried adding those commands to the rc.local file, but it doesn't seem to work.

If adding it to something like that, is that file run as root, or do I need to prefix each command with sudo? If so, how do I put the password? Would it be:

sudo password command?

thanks for your help

Jeff
