Roninregain
Ok so yeah i got some audio issues, but i can hear the system event sounds and it also shows the ac97 (pcm) in the menu. But when i start Itunes or garageband i hear nothing when a song plays. Installed using the generic DVD, copied the 4 files from the darwin cd to the extensions folder audiodevicetreeupdater, appleAC97, IOaudiofamily and Virtualaudiodriver. Followed the audio guide from wiki to the letter that resulted in the partial functioning of the sound. My motherboard is the Asus A8n Sli Deluxe, and I also got the 0059 10DE code under windows in the direct -x menu, but it uses a realtek chip instead of the nvidia for audio so that might have something to do with it, im not sure. If somebody could please help me, i would be so greatful. I also tried the headphone socket at the front, switching speakers 1,2 with 3,4 yet it didn't work. I also stumbled on some posts from people saying to enter the id code at CH 6, while the guide doesn't Can somebody please help me. If it is a Realtek but it is Onboard chip it uses the Nvidia Device ID. ICH6 is used on Intel Chipsets with Realtek sound chips. So many of the "onboard" chips inherit the Vendor ID of their North/Southbridge chipset. Roninregain
Ok thanx, but nobody has an idea to solve this? All i want to do is use garageband and thus have audio, that's my whole reason for working on a mac for now. I had audio problems with the Realtek 860/880 Audio but the bios upgrade stabilized it and even though it was a brand new motherboard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3717-yet-another-audio-problem-with-a-twist/#findComment-23881 Share on other sites
