nilz
Hi, I just completely reinstalled my old 10.4.5 system (AMD 1GB+Radeon X550) with the Tubgirl 10.4.8 DVD. Everything went fine, except: I cant boot any more It says "Login Window Application started" and then stops booting. The problem appeared after I installed the X1000 driver from the DVD, I did not install it when I installed the system, so that I could boot until the X1000 installation. So I hope my system would boot again, of this driver is not loaded any more (I used VESA mode for my 10.4.5 installation) So here are my questions: - is there a way to boot OSX without loading the X1000 kext so that I can remove it manually? - is there a way to boot directly into a terminal from the boot options so that I can remove the kext? - does anybody have a better idea? Is there another way to access the files on my boot drive? Thanks for any help! FireSlash
When you're prompted to enter boot options, add -s then press enter. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37129-1048-tubgirl-no-login-window/#findComment-264193 Share on other sites
