Minor issue with Trash can and Minimizing any window tothe dock

Ok Folks,

 

I did an update from 10.4.3( yes 10.4.3) to 10.4.8 using Mac.nub"s How To.

 

Had to fake it to believe it was 10.4.4 but it worked!!

 

I'm now running 10.4.8 and it's Solid except for the trach can icon won't show empty. It will get rid of any files but keeps showing trash in the Icon.

 

Also no matter what window i try to minimize to the dock it just stays put. It will expand and return using the + and will close using the x buttons but the - button does nothing.

 

I know these are pretty minimal issues that i can probably live with but i was hoping for a simple fix.
