kapakra Posted October 21, 2005 Share Posted October 21, 2005 hiya im very new to osx86 so forgive me ive had a search through this forum and trids a few things but still no joy, heres my prob i used the vmware image on to a hdd, connected usb and one it was all copied over it booted fine, but i have a microsoft wirless keyboard and mouse mac os came up with a keyboard not recognised wizard but the keyboard seem to work, how ever the mouse didnt. so i tried a nother mouse, a laptop wired usb mouse, still no joy. the optical light came on but no movement.... so i tried a old usb wired mouse with a ps2 adaptor and it worked, untill i reboot then i have to take it out, load it up connect it and reboot. the only prob now is my keyboard doent work!! im sure ill have other probs, like sound but there seems to be lots of people with the same card on here im sure ill be ok with it. any ideas about my mouse and keyboard? thanx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3698-usb-confusion/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
macgirl Posted October 21, 2005 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Sometimes BIOS setting affects how USB respond to Mac OS X. In my case if I enable support for USB my PS/2 keyb and mouse doesn work in Mac OS X, If I dont enable it and want USB keyboard in Mac OS X it does not work. So play with your BIOS settings.
