eranj
I'm using MSI M510 laptop. When I finished the installation, it didn't boot from HD. I get a "b0e error" When I boot from the installation DVD I found out that the only "startup disk" is the DVD. I tried repairing permissions. btw, the HD is toshiba 40gb PATA Edited December 25, 2006 by chooch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36797-no-startup-disk-after-installing-jas-1046/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
b0 error means you need to set your partition active. Use a Windows/Linux disk/partition utility or use Fdisk in OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36797-no-startup-disk-after-installing-jas-1046/#findComment-261592 Share on other sites
eranj
Right now I'm reinstalling osx for the 4th time. you mean I just wasted my time because I forgot googling... Should I face new problems after that? Update Now the display's all wrong. I see a grey background and few colured squares on it. Got Radeon mobility 9700. patch installed. another update: ATIScript.z0rz.v0.2 fixed the display problem. I still don't see a startup disk though the system runs... Now there are only 3 problems: * some of flash animations on Safari are shown as colors which changes between orange and yellow maybe qt or some accleration doesn't work? screenshot profiler information: Display: Type: VGA-Compatible Controller Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x4e50 Revision ID: 0x0000 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Depth: 16-bit Color Core Image: Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz 2D Extreme: Supported Quartz Extreme: Not Supported Update: installing firefox solved the flash problem. I'll reinstall the ATI in order for the quartz extreme to work. * DHCP won't work with built in ethernet. getting IP 169.254. works fine with manual IP. Update: I found out that the problem was limited IP range, which I set in the router before a long time. fixed it and now it works * I have to find an osx compatiable wifi pcmcia because there are no drivers for intel2200bg Edited December 29, 2006 by chooch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36797-no-startup-disk-after-installing-jas-1046/#findComment-261600 Share on other sites
