tiger-x86.vmx - Running under VMWare

I have obtained the precanned VMWare image of OS-X. I have the following files

floppy.flp

tiger-x86.nvram

tiger-x86.vmdk

tiger-x86.vmsd

tiger-x86.vmx

tiger-x86-flat.img

Is my understanding right that I should be able to boot this as a straight VM image? I have tried in both VMWare 5 and 5.5 both with no success. I have changed the location of the flody in the vmx file but the vmdk file is never recognised as a disk.

I am just looking to launch osX86 in a VM session and have a look at it rather than install it onto my actual machine.

Any ideas?

Open the vmx in a text editor, edit the lines that need it because maybe your location of files are different.

Second option is to add a NEW virtual machine as BSD, when adding the HD image just point to the existent.
