edmoncu
hmm, im not sure if this is a little off topic... but here goes... ok, here's the deal: i have set up my pc like this.. ich7 pata - both optical drivesich7 sata - sata hdd (running ahci) or this...ich7 pata - both optical drivesjmb361 pata - pata hdd i could boot normally into OSX CD (10.4.6 or 10.4.8). however, here are the scenarios on set up #1, i can only install OSX 10.4.8. When i install 10.4.6, i have to change the SATA mode from AHCI to IDE. i cannot gauge if performance might improve is OSX were to work in AHCI because installing 10.4.8 is somewhat buggier than 10.4.6 (especially issues to onboard i945G graphics). if i boot OSX installation (if it has successuly been installed), running under AHCI, the OS only hangs at the apple logo and eventually a cross sign will appear at the middle. on set up #2, i was wondering if there are OSX drivers for JMB361. because i cannot have it boot into OSX (any version), when the target OSX x86 HDD is plugged to the JMB controller.
