linus
hello, i'm new here, i pulled an all-nighter and managed to get osx up and running >.< most things are fine now, i was able to get sound to work too using the wiki and some threads here. some things could be better though, i have a minor issue with the keyboard, but i can live with that. i understand i'm asking for a lot, but the biggest problem is video playback. i can only play divx in vlc, but it plays horrible. i've tried original osx build and i've tried an osx86 build from august and they both had choppy playback. i read there is another build from last month, VLC_20050924_x86_bin.dmg, and i'd like to try that, but i cannot find it. if someone could point me in the right direction i'd be most greatful. What's your VGA card? If it's not supported, videos run in 10-15 fps at full screen. linus
You will not have fluid videos in full screen with an ati radeon 9800pro oh, that's too bad. well, it's good to know. thank you for your help. full screen was what i really wanted, but will i even be able to play a video in normal size at acceptable framerate? i guess i won't be trying out macos as much as i would have wanted to. not until some nice programmer person makes me some fancy working drivers i guess? ^^ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3676-video-playback/#findComment-23286 Share on other sites
