mavster0410
OK I did the jas 10.4.6 install perfectly...and the 10.4.7 update..only problem was I had no sound, but the computer was stable as hell... I did the jas 10.4.8 update, sound works perfectly...now only problem is the computer is unstable.. The About this mac portion, doesn't show the correct info anymore...my ichat hardly works, and now just normal browsing in firefox is an issue (with delay)... Now is it possible to copy the sound files from this install, revert back to 10.4.7 system...and update the 10.4.7, with working 10.4.8 files? If it is, can someone give me the laymans way of doing all this? I'm not very familar with editing system files...or with anything dealing with the kernel. legg1
well if its custom packages from the 10.4.8 dvd you want over to i.e a fresh 10.4.7 system, install Pacifist (?) and explore them. right click and install to default location. that'll give you the files u want from 10.4.8. If it aint additional packages, im sure you'll find the files in /System/Library/Installation For reverting to a older system i cant help you im afraid.
