Now OSx86 is running fine. Although iWork and Photoshop need more Vram. OSx86 does not recognize the graphic card. I used Nvidia Gforce 2-400, TNT, Rage 128 Pro. The cards should be supporten according to this site.

When i'm booting the card is recognized, but in OSx86 it's not. I just want to run iWork and Photoshop (and maybe some more graphical progs). OpenGL support is also nice but not nessesary.

You need to do a few things...

You need to add NVidia.kext

Modify the device id in NVidia.kext to match yours

refresh the kext cache in OS X

There are some topics about NVidia drivers, they have instructions there...there's actually a website called macvidia, that is where you want to look for the best instructions and files. :P

I did what's written here:

http://macvidia.plusmediamusic.com/index.php?title=Downloads

And now the machine Hangs during boot. I'll try another card....

/edit: Time to reinstall....

You dont need to reinstall, boot with -s -F and delete the Nvidia kext.

There is writte:

on the line below that, you will need to add the Device and Vendor ID

you can grab them from SystemProfile

in my case 0x0322 and 0x10de so I add 0x032210de

Do i have to remove all the info on that line and replace it whit mine or do i have to add it??

/edit. I'm on the next step. Now i have a FX 5700. That one wil work as so far that the System Profiler see the chip model as a GeForce FX 5700LE. But i also sais Type: VGA Compatible and Bus: PCI (must be AGP). And stil not enough Vram to run iWork. How can i change that???

/2nd edit: Now i use a GeForce MX 420, als the same problem. And MX 400 does not boot.

If you want to System Profiler recognize your card as AGP you need to edit the Info.plist of the AppleI386PCI.kext

After

AppleI386AGP

IONameMatch

pci8086,2532

pci8086,2561

put your AGP to PCI Bridge Device ID.

There is a thread about getting this done.
