neckarb
hey guys, i've got the following problem, i need to install Windows Xp on a seperate parition on my MacBook Pro, which i have allready partitioned, i need to install it without the use of an internal optical disk drive as mine is temporarily out of action (no point explaining why to long..), i have the use of an external DVD drive, but you cannot boot from external DVD drives either USB or Firwire. neither can you boot from an optical drive on another mac via Target Disk mode, you also cannot use target disk mode and disk utility to restore a disk image of an installed copy of windows onto another machine... so any ideas? anyway round not being able to boot from an external Drive? Thanks for your'e help in advance Merry Christmas Neckarb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36663-install-windows-optical-drive/ Share on other sites
