Techo328
No sse3 in system profiler 10.4.5 with sse3 cpu Does anyone else have this issue? The install works great but just a little concerned that its not utilising full capabilities Using Asrock 774 Dual 915GL mobo and intel 541 P4 3.2ghz HT EMT64 cpu 1Gig mem with HT disabled. Older installs like 10.4.1 has sse3 in system profiler Didnt install any amd cpu hacks from install disk but did install intel hacks Is there any test to see if true sse3 is operational Any ideas? gotoh
you should upgrade to 10.4.8 / semthex kernel to be sure your CPU work at full capacity. Before semthex kernel, my AMD box would only run as SSE2 only CPU, thus I was having many issues with Apple apps... Overall system was not as fast as it is now with everything working as it should... Techo328
Cool But isnt the semthix kernel for AMD cpu's? I have an Intel P4 3.2GHz 541 HT cpu, and also that install doesnt work well with the asrock 774DUAL 915GL mobo. I used that install and i got nothing supported in the video QE CG not sup.... no lan..... no sound... but with 10.4.5 all works instantly, Just not sure about SSE3 as it dosent show in system profiler with 10.4.5. I will try semthix and see what happens anyway.
