running os x 10.4.8

hi, i recently just got into this osx86 thing. I installed 10.3? version before and it worked (minus no sound and osx can't regonize my card as a x800) But i recently did a clean install of 10.4.8 test 1 iso with the final ppf patched. Sound worked and my network did also. But i noticed that whenever I try to open a package .pkg the computer would just freeze. Has anyone experieenced this?

edit: forget it i think changing the installer app to run in rosetta worked.
