legionX
I've got an ATI All In Wonder, not sure if that will work with QE & CI, but I also have several nVidia cards. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO ENABLE IT?? I've been trying for weeks but nobody can give me a straight answer. PLEASE. BTW, I'm running 10.4.6 on a P4 with SSE3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36424-qe-ci-how-please/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
You must get a driver to fully recognize the card then QE/CI will be supported. There is no magic button to push. Older ATI cards pre 9250 will not get QE/CI. Also, Nvidia cards running Macvidia will not get it. Follow the Video link in my signature for ways to get various cards working. Mac OSX Coder
it would help if you have your type of video cards, ie your model #, Ask nicely, don't imply like straight up answers. legionX
Well it's just that everyone seems to have had such trouble installing osX86 in the first place, I just popped in my install DVD and wham everything worked, so I was getting the feeling that everyone was making the video card issue out to be more than it was too. My nVidia card (best one) is GeForce 5600 Ultra (128mb AGP) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36424-qe-ci-how-please/#findComment-259156 Share on other sites
Luminaire
It's really all about having the latest 10.4.8 kernel and Titan.kext Basically, Titan activates QE/CI for your VGA. If you've got 4 cards, you've got a high chance that one should work. The latest .8 kernel is bundled with JaS' Install dvd's (both AMD and Intel these days). Titan is made by omni. Google titan +omni. PS. And yeah, asking nicely, helps a LOT.
