halomortal4lyf
I just installed Mac OS X and I don't have sound working. I followed this tutorial and read the appendix and made sure everything was correct but I get no sound. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry121883 My sound is onboard RealTek HD Audio. Can anyone help me? PS I have a ATI radeon 1300 card, how can I get that to work? Rammjet
In the Appendix, you looked up four numbers - a vendor id and device id for the Codec chip and a vendor id and device id for the Controller chip. What were the numbers you found? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36389-sound-still-not-working/#findComment-258848 Share on other sites

Rammjet
So, in the guide, the first string you used was: 0x10ec0888 and the 2nd string was: 0x026c10de Verify those were what you used and that you performed all of the steps in the guide. If that doesn't work, then you will have to wait for the AppleHDA project to get to the ALC888 chip.
