Scotty geek
Well I did it.. After finding a USB Keyboard I was able to get into my newly installed hackintosh. Currently Im running JAz10.4.7 and I am working on downloading 10.4.8. (and a report of that will be comming later on). The system I have does not support SSE3, but thats going to change sooner or later. My video card (ATI 9800XT)is not showing up, but Im going to try the Callisto patch tonight, so keep your fingers crossed. But my first impressions. Not to bad on my old hardware. I even ran MS Office 2004, which if Im correct its a Rosetta app right? it runs fine on my SSE2 processor. well at least it runs faster than my old G4 1Ghz imac. Everything seems pretty snappy, and the boot time is nice and quick too. now I wonder how it will fly with some better hardware and supported video and sound. Muhahahahaahahahahaa Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36368-first-completed-install/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
If you are downloading the 10.4.8 SSE3 Only DVD, that is not the way to go. You need to use a JaS 10.4.8 SSE2 updater for your 10.4.7 on an SSE2 computer. Follow the 10.4.8 link in my signature for ways to update to 10.4.8 on SSE2.
