Ludox
Searching the web, I came across a page where some independent developers are attempting embryonic experiments to create system call emulators/mappers (JIT/AOT compilers) capable of translating macOS 27's ARM64 instructions into x86 instructions. At least the first experiments are underway. Obviously, the road will be long and difficult, but we must be confident and patient. The first tiny glimmer of hope has been shed on this path. 10 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362917-macos-golden-gate-experiment-cpu-intel/ Share on other sites
XanthraX
Oh my God! I remember the experience of the first 68K Macintosh emulator on PC. I loved to see System 7, but not afforded a Mac. Now it can be emulated in a webside infinitemac.org 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362917-macos-golden-gate-experiment-cpu-intel/#findComment-2851382 Share on other sites

etorix
Only in the sense that Apple intends to use Intel Foundry for some of its AppleSilicon chips. So future Macs (or iPhones?) may feature ARM chips "made by Intel" (but designed by Apple). No x86!
