brewno
External link for hardware details here. I was tired of the slowliness of my X1600 Pro with 512 Mb. I'm not a hardcore player, but I play World of Warcraft, Counter Strike Source and Day of Defeat Source every once in a while, so I bought the X1600 thinking "hey, this will be compatible with OSX and Windows, and everybody is loving it, so why not?" Well, it was a good choice back then, till I lay my eyes on this Sapphire ATi X1950 XT. And let me tell you, I've never been so happy. Lets just say it blows X1600 or any card I've seen away by far! I can play (on OSX!) all the games I want on 1440x900 with ALL the features on high, anti aliasing, effects, etc. No frame-by-frame feeling, this piece of hardware can handle it all, smoothly. Feels like I'm playing some other game, because of the new looks. With 256 Mb of DDR3, 48 pixel shader processors, 8 vertex shader processors and I paid only 249 euros. Okay, it's maybe 2x the price of a X1600 but it's worth it all. I dont feel I need a XTX (which is like 2x the price of a XT), this XT does everything I need and more. I strongly recommend you players out there to ditch your X1600 and go for a X1950XT. It's the best choice for a nice price.
