USB not working on Dell XPS M1530 despite numerous attempts to fix it. (hackintosh)

Hi guys,
as the title states, I cannot get the usb ports on my Dell XPS M1530 to work at all. The laptop is currently stuck at 10.12(which idk how i even got that to install in the first place), and I am currently attempting to atleast upgrade to 10.13 and/or higher if possible. Solutions that I have tried: Usbtoolbox.kext, Usbinjectall.kext, Xhci-unsupported, both enabled and disabled XHCIPortLimit, ReleaseUSBOwnership in config.plist, 

but to no avail.

 

I know that this laptop is old and vintage, and I started this project out of curiosity, but this usb problem has been haunting me for a whole month already. Please let me know what have i done wrong so that nothing works?

FYI the OC efi picks up the usb and i am prompted to select a device to boot from, and now i am trying to let it boot off an offline 10.13 installer which just results to the prohibited sign and the "still waiting for root device" error. I am unable to use the online installer because I dont have access to Ethernet, and the Horinds.kext requires usb...

Thanks in advance if anyone found a fix to my problem, and I will include my EFI folder(quite bare as I already redid the efi for like the third time already) below: (I cannot upload the files at the time being as an unknown error pops up whenever i try to upload it, and i will try to include it ASAP.)

thanks for the answer. it does look very complicated compared to other solutions, but i will try it out(not today) and give you a reply.

it says here xhub method? well all my ports MAY be 2 none of them are blue on the inspiron 5458 mobile and yes it has a xhc major and then all these muxed i guess ehci ports and a 1.1 port... its the wildcat-point lp and broadwell-u from 2015 it is not the 2 in 1.... but has the touch screen and trackpad... ill give this a look..

Have you checked if your USB ports are properly mapped for the M1530's chipset? Since it's an older system, you might need a custom USB map rather than relying on generic injectors. Also, the "still waiting for root device" error often points to USB ownership or EHCI handoff issues – try enabling FixOwnership in UEFI settings if you haven't already. For 10.13, you might also need a specific SMBIOS that matches the hardware age (like MacBookPro4,1 or similar). Have you tried booting with a USB 2.0 hub or a different port to rule out USB 3.0 conflicts?

There are no XHCI in the platform at all. No need to bother about XHCIPortLimit etc.
