miliuco
I've migrated this project to SwiftUI, adopting a modern interface with a left-hand sidebar containing links to the four tabs, whose values are displayed on the right. Fonts and other elements have been enlarged, improving readability on high-resolution screens. Users who test the application and inform me of issues or any other ideas are welcome and I truly appreciate it. Thank you! You can read about the migration process in AppKit to SwiftUI. Main changes: Migrate main UI to SwiftUI keeping app functionality Add language menu and language selector window Keep existing Settings window (custom logo) behavior Project settings updated: minimal macOS bumped to 13.5, app version bumped to 4.0.0 Rework the Displays tab to use a horizontal ScrollView and enable full display counts (removed hard limit of 3). I translated Hackintool into Spanish myself. But a great idea would be to add a button to revert it to its original state for screenshots, perhaps even a screenshot button with or without a serial number. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362585-about-this-hack-2009-nissan-cube-version-migrated-to-swiftui/#findComment-2848542 Share on other sites
miliuco
@chris1111 Of course, my friend, do your magic to improve badges design. @kaoskinkae Explain it more to me. The button for screenshots, reverting to its original state, what does it mean? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362585-about-this-hack-2009-nissan-cube-version-migrated-to-swiftui/#findComment-2848547 Share on other sites

Since we use this program to take screenshots of the mounted system, and we have to use a keyboard and mouse combination to select the capture area, a capture button that automates the process would be useful. (Example: poorly executed screenshot) 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362585-about-this-hack-2009-nissan-cube-version-migrated-to-swiftui/#findComment-2848551 Share on other sites

miliuco
@chris1111 The source PNG images (e.g. Tahoe) look good for me, resolution enough. But you're right, once showed in the overview tab, edges appear slightly pixelated, and the logo doesn't have the same image quality as the original file in the assets folder. I'm running tests but haven't found the cause of this behavior. If you have any ideas, please let me know or do PR. Thanks. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362585-about-this-hack-2009-nissan-cube-version-migrated-to-swiftui/#findComment-2848555 Share on other sites
miliuco
@chris1111 Adding .interpolation(.high) to the picture code looks better, maybe still not enough. miliuco
@chris1111 A friend of mine 😂 made some really nice badges for Download Full Installer, and I've brought them to About This Hack. I like them much better than the previous ones. I think they're going to stay here. Thanks! miliuco
@kaoskinkae I don't think this addition is necessary. Taking a screenshot is as simple as clicking the icon next to the serial number (hiding it) and pressing Command + Shift + 4. Adding the option to take screenshots or connect to the macOS keyboard shortcut to do so isn't worth the effort. Sorry. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362585-about-this-hack-2009-nissan-cube-version-migrated-to-swiftui/#findComment-2848562 Share on other sites

kaoskinkae
I'm not sure if it would be worthwhile to add this, but it would be helpful to add the chip model and ID to the Audio section. With Taho and other systems, it would be useful to have this information visible. Audio: Realtek ALC887 / ALC Layout ID: 7 Something similar to Hackintool 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362585-about-this-hack-2009-nissan-cube-version-migrated-to-swiftui/#findComment-2848629 Share on other sites
