Hi hope all are well!

Filevault got turned on in an update to sequoia. Now it's stuck on estimating time remaining

Tried fdesetup disable, gives -69595. Tried it in recovery, same thing. Tried fdesetup sync, updating preboot volume, nothing. It's been a few days now so it definitely needs to be kickstarted

Heard about the whole apfs_aligned.efi.efi or deal, which I happily added in and disabled Jumpstart. Seems nothing changed. Gonna try resetting the efi as well. But no juice.

Any ideas?

yup tried that, I mentioned in op too, I tried it in recovery, gives the same -69595 encryption in progress. but it's been 2 weeks it can't truly be in progress. enabling or disabling both say in progress. its a 1tb drive, can't take more than a day tops.

allowing filevault to work with lowered SIP!
