Unlocking Dell bios from UEFI shell with CFGLock.efi using Clover USB installer

I wanted to unlock the MSR E2 region in the bios of my Optiplex 7070 MT before installing Mojave. Struggled a bit looking for ways to unlock it but ended up copying CFGLock.efi to the tools folder in the Clover folder on the EFI partition of the USB installer. I then booted from the USB installer, selected UEFI shell, navigated to the tools folder and ran CFGLock.efi from the shell. Then I could unlock the bios and after a restart check that it had stayed unlocked. For me this turned out to be the easiest way to unlock MSR E2 and it worked with Clover.

Just want to add some more info on this, have taken a picture of the Clover folder on the EFI partition and of how unlocking with CFGLock.efi looks when using the UEFI shell. This might make it easier for other new users.

theres a repo the 2020 build of UEFIPatch might do this all and then some, theres a common method among

dells that use a Pin Bridge BIOS Unlock "but STILL says even a Realtek ALC Chip if its not Intel HDA short pins SDATA_OUT and DVDD Pins on your specific Chip for BIOS Flash descriptor Unlock is called the HDA_SDO[Descriptor Unlock]" this basically in the unlocked state using the FPTWTool. is what its called should have a read-back bios function and thats what you use to verify unlock dump bios patch and reflash , pins are extremely fragile seeing as how the Replace Function is Disabled we have to find a build of UEFITool that re-enables this so far my only bitmap render came out in Monochrome Red
